>>44082435Y'know it honestly seems to me like Game Freak HEARD the fans saying "a dark/fairy type could be really cool" and "I want fairy types based on more grim myths/lore who aren't just nice and pink" and then they decided to give the fans what they want, straight, and executed it perfectly.
Same kinda/sorta goes for Hatterene. I think it's exactly the case that those 2 lines were designed from the start to be the sort of Fairy Types that fans had been asking to see for a few years. It worked well! They're both quite popular.
