>>48718339And I think everyone knows, I think each Pokemon Center has its own mascot statue. Osaka's was the legendary birds, but unfortunately my photo of them was bad because we were rushing to the Pokemon Cafe that day... The mascot of this Pokemon Center is Gyarados. The legendary dragon carp story is famous here, and there is a shrine to the various carp gods on the Hiroshima castle grounds (there are also the 2 carp lover gods which are also popular). Also, there is a baseball team called Hiroshima CARP which is extremely popular here. Occasionally you will see MagiCARP merchandise, but not today.
Today, I saw a small Japanese kid crawl up to the statue and grabbed its tail and say "mama mama, kore wa kowai! kore wa kowai! kore wa kowai!" and I wonder if it was so scary why did he walk up there and start touching it haha.
