They gone for various things there and even if individually are fine, as a group, it lacks cohesion and doesn't give any "ancient" vibes at all.
It just look like a random group of pokemon that could be contemporary pokemon.
On the other hand, the future pokemon being all robots on paper may sound like a bad idea, but the result is great since they are not only nice individually, but they also look cohesive as a group and transmit really well the concept they were going for.
