I actually would prefer sequels, though, instead of basic remakes (or remakes and then sequels, that would be cool too.)
I also want a gen where they make the current gen take a back seat for a while and just do a bunch of remakes/sequels/etc. Like if we got gen 8 on Switch, then got Z, then got Kanto remakes, then BW3, then Kanto sequels, then gen 9.
I want fresh content that isn't only sporadically jumping from one region to another. Building on previous content is a good thing imo.
