Eventually I got a shadow Dratini that was close to perfect, purified it, then I had two mons. Now, after a little over a year of playing, I have more than 500 hundos.
As long as you keep on playing you'll keep on getting perfects, and aside from 0/15/15 mons for stuff like GBL, perfects are really the only thing a trainer should ever invest resources in. My biggest regret was wasting a ton of my dust in my first few weeks of playing by spending it on inferior mons.
