i never played pokemon as a kid. the first pkmn game i played was diamond, and that was only because my friend had told me that the series was worth playing. i kept playing and, obviously, i love it now.
ok, so most people here on /vp/ seem to have played the game as a kid, usually the first two gens, and im wondering; is it the nostalgia that makes it playable for you, or do you enjoy the games PURELY because of the games they are? would you play pokemon now if you hadn't done it as a child?
