>>42924481As a SJW libcuck myself I understand your gender complaints. Most male/female counterparts were literally meant to be variations on the same pokemon. Bulls and cows are male/female variants of the same animal. Pokemon has a weird relationship with these, originally they split them up into different pokemon like the Nidoran lines when they could've easily just been condensed into one species with slight gender/stat/movepool differences. They didn't want to retcon this so we're stuck with these. Also the biological aspect makes it worse.
As for Grimmsnarl/Hatterene, they don't seem like literally the same species but rather similarly themed counterparts, like Braviary/Mandibuzz. Making them 100% M or F seems to be another way of establishing the dichotomy between them, even if you want to quash gender norms you can't deny that Grimmsnarl is distinctly male-presenting and Hatterene is distinctly female-presenting (I can kinda see the swamp hag thing but still.) I wouldn't be opposed to them not being gender-restricted but it's obvious why they are. A lot of societal norms are arguably "objectively bad design choices" but all you can't force change. Have some more twinky boys or musclegirls in your own comic, others will follow suit.
Also, you spent more characters bitching about this than any of these individual pokemon reviews, which doesn't bode well for the whole "my analysis is as good as it's ever been!" If you're spending more time on a tangent than reviewing the actual pokemon, something went wrong.
