I used this piece of shit in my Black run and holy shit was it bad. For reference, the only fire move it has until level 22 is Incinerate, which has only 30 base power in Gen V. Holy shit it was so bad, it was struggling against stuff that it even had the type advantage over. Hitting only 1/4 of their health, assuming the hit was super effective. Worse yet, It didn't get a better fire move until level 22, which meant I either would get it AFTER the bug gym, where I would actually want to use it, or I would have to grind if I wanted to flame burst some bugs.
Once it got an actual decent fire move, it was a little more tolerable, but monkeys aren't that great anyway, so it still died pretty easy and didn't contribute much.
I used a Panpour in a later run, which has the slightly stronger water gun instead, and holy shit, I never would have thought 10 extra base power would make so much of a difference.
