RNG has been eliminated from battles where possible, OHKO moves have been removed.
Status Effects cannot cause you to miss turns, instead they will reduce stats and inflict damage each turn.
Whether a Poison move inflicts Poison or Toxic depends on whether it was inflicted by a Poison-type Pokemon. Only the Poison-types can inflict Toxic.
The effectiveness of STAB has been amplified, and moves without STAB suffer a severe power penalty.
Moves never miss or crit due to RNG, and to score a guaranteed crit, you must perform a Super Effective attack with STAB (Same-Type Attack Bonus).
A STAB Critical will also cause the target Pokemon to flinch, if he has not yet moved.
