>>48713883There are few Nuzlocke moments worse than knowing you'll need to bench a few of your Pokemon, but eventually becoming so attached to them that you no longer want to do it. Some tough battles are coming up and my team doesn't really have an answer to Psychic types, and fights against them or simply Pokemon with Psychic moves have been my tensest fights yet. Eric's the one I'd have the easiest time benching since Pidgeotto's Gen 1 level up movepool is garbage, but I've got Erika on the horizon and you get Fly shortly after rolling up on Celadon and I'd rather not get Wrapped to death by her team. Zasp is realistically another good option for benching because there aren't many fights past Erika that he'll be useful in, but now that he's got Twineedle he's actually pulling his weight. Decisions, decisions...
>MistyWent a lot better than expected. For some ungodly reason Misty had Starmie use Tackle instead of Bubblebeam, and Zasp handily killed him with Twineedle. The Youngsters with Slowpoke on the way to Bill were a lot worse than her. And speaking of annoying faceless, nameless trainers...
>Butterfree guy on the way to VermillionFuck this guy, he does not get enough credit when it comes to Nuzlocke threats. Didn't lose anyone to him but it was a shitshow that ended with Darmani, Mortimer, Eric, and Nergigante all on death's door because of Rock Miss screwing me over, the psychic AI knowing how to screw over my switch ins with his powder moves, my team's massive weakness to Psychic moves, and me hitting my item limit.
>S.S. Anne RivalEasy, though I had a close call with Charmeleon since Gen 1 mechanics led to Nergigante missing with Water Gun nearly every time he used it.
>Lt. SurgeDarmani spanked him.
>>48725888Trust me, the Nidorino vs Charmeleon shitshow reminded me not to underestimate Gen 1's janked-up fuckery. Also nice trips
