Ever since the gen 3 games, I change the backgrounds from the first to like 4th to resemble going from the beach to deep ocean, putting a desert background at first, then the beach, a river, then ocean and at last deep sea.
No one cares about it, it doesn't affect anything but the aesthetics, but I like it and will keep doing it.
