I'm in the minority because I already understand all of what you just said
I started with gen 3
the earlier games aren't bad, they're just simpler, and while I don't dislike gens 1 or 2, I prefer the newer stuff, simply because it's generally more appealing
am I an asshole for saying that the audio and visual quality being drastically upgraded between gens 2 and 3 just makes it an overall more enjoyable experience?
