haha, it was not a good idea to do this blind. come the end of viridian forest and i'm thrust into a (thankfully easy) fight against brendan of all people, and in pewter city gym there's a fight against falkner that seems mandatory for progression. also wasn't too hard, but he had a corvisquire, which likely would've ran through my team had it not been for cain.
brock was...interestingly difficult. not only does he switch a lot, he also packs a vulpix to ensure horace can't just beat his entire team. and moreover, his onix is STRONG - it wasn't even taking half from vine whips, and it was doing a shit ton damage through a -1 from jan's baby doll eyes. it came down to an exchange where onix left me on a single hit point with horace before i killed it, then swapped in cain to beat the vulpix and claim the victory.
baby doll eyes is a great move for nuzlockes so i'm really sad jan bit it, but i didn't see any scenario where she could survive. does piss me off it was a crit but i don't think it would've changed anything
