>>55546979Id have to go and compare every single town and I cant be assed, from a general aspect towns that have good cultural aspect in kalos comparatively to Unova are Lumiose City and Couriway town, everything else feels shadow or generally structured the same or even goes as far as clashing in a way that isnt explained like Pokeball factory being all the way up to Laverre city a town that from a general cultural aspect has no relation to factories whatsoever, Geosenge having 3 random stone pillars built on top of the weapon, and the surrounding people in that town give you no additional info whatsoever about the culture of the town. those aspects bring down XY severely in my opinion, its lack of structural narrative feels soulless, I mentioned in the thread before but a game with so much heavy focus on Mega evolution research has very little idea of how things work and why things work like Anistar's crystal resonating with them, stuff like that just feels like poor execution to me.

Seafolk village is more or less the same, it has a few cool boats but you cant even do much with them, little to no NPCs to interact with, its just boring
Even if Kalos isnt super culturally rich, Alola just shot itself in the foot in regards to its culture
