>>38323474>>38323620Well, I have hit a bit of a snag. I decided to take on the Kimono Girls with the team of five I had remaining after beating Clair, just to get on with the game. I lead with Julian the Umbreon thinking that the first Kimono Girl would use Espeon, but they led with their own Umbreon instead. I tried using Peepers the Togetic against it, but it choked hard on confusion damage and flinching from Dark Pulse. And then Lumina the Lanturn got hit with a crit that killed it.
Julian was eventually worn down by the rest of Kimono Girls and had to sacrificed to Vaporeon since I had no safe switch-ins at that point. Charlotte the Arcanine got a good Thunder Fang before also getting Surfed away, allowing Fivenights the Misdreavus to finish the gauntlet.
As much as I love my baby boi Peepers, I may have to bench him until I can get a Shiny Stone after the E4. I may do the same with Fivenights. Now I need to rebuild my team gearing up for the E4. I am raising up Dre Bleats since Electric is very useful. I only have Mt. Mortar, Blackthorn City, Route 26, and Victory Road left for encounters. Any suggestions as to who I should add or try to catch in the available areas? I'm wondering if it's worth it to go after the gift Tyrouge or if I should take a chance for Machop/Machoke in Mt. Mortar.
