Okay then /vp/, anon who bought an Yveltal deck and some boosters here. I am looking to make a budget Ylveltal deck that will survive the next rotation, this is what I have managed to knock together with the cards that I actually have. Investments that I am looking to make are 2-3 Ylveltal EXs (the only real money card in the deck) and some non rotating trainer/supporter cards (at the moment looking at getting Bands, maybe more Hard Charms, another Roller Skates and possibly a third Shadow Circle). Looking to go up to 4 Dunsparce, and planning to get rid of the Sandile line, Zorua line, and possibly Inkay line (I am either going to keep the topsy turvy inkays and one of the malamar variants, or get rid of all of them). What budget deckbuilding advice would you guys give from here?
To answer a few questions that will come up, I am looking for mainly cards from the XY expansion and the upcoming expansion (as I would rather have the maximum time to rotation, even if it hurts me for a while early on). The singleton Fairy Energy is to make up numbers in the deck, and in a pinch could be tutored with Professor's Letter or Zorua to get a "free" retreat off of an opponent's fairy garden (as my deck isn't great I am guessing that I will largely be playing against other people with jank/precon decks, and Xerneas decks seem popular in my area). I am interested in testing Malamar with Red Card, but would like to hear other anon's thoughts on the matter, and in general I am looking to streamline my creature base, expand my trainer base and try to retain a large amount of Dark Energy in the energy base (to maximise chances of recovering with Ylveltal if I have any energy dicarded at all).
