where did this stupid fucking argument come from? Yes, the regions are connected. Very obviously, joho pokemon live in johto and are cut off from kanto by tohjo falls/mt silver. Just because there are kanto pokemon in johto does not make them “the norm.” You have literally zero evidence to support the claim that johto pokemon were meant to be more rare than kanto pokemon. If gen 2 was simply meant to be gen 1 + some new rare pokemon, they wouldnt have made a whole new region. They would have just redone kanto in the future like bw2 did. The lack of availability of new pokemon in the wild and lack of fighting new pokemon in gyms was a stupid oversight that never got fixed and is a flaw in the game. God what a stupid argument
