>>21822316I like to keep my opinions on the games separate from my opinions on their respective supporters.
As for ORAS, i enjoyed returning to Hoenn, and the soundtrack was nice. Delta Emerald contributed some lore, as flawed as it may be. Dexnav and the Pokemon Sneaking are neat little additions too. But by the time i finished, further analysis made it feel like i was playing a reskin of X/Y, down to the unfortunate lack of postgame. It was made even worse by the fact that i actually enjoyed the Looker/Emma post-game a bit more than the Delta Episode, which i still can't believe is actually a bit SHORTER than the former. It's not even the lack of BF or things like that. It's just that remakes normally offer you much more content to compensate for the fact that you're playing pretty much the same game you played years ago. And ORAS just feels... rushed. Like there's not enough here distinguishing it from X/Y enough to compensate for an actual purchase. They didn't even bother fixing X/Y's technical issues, which would've instantly made it worth it. I enjoyed X/Y and i also enjoyed ORAS, but while X/Y were a bit disappointing, they added plenty of cool features that made it step up from previous gens, added to the fact that it was the 1st fully 3D pokemon maingame, all this making me forgive it. But ORAS doesn't make up for its lack of features, instead merely relying on the fact that we finally got remakes as if that's enough.
If X/Y felt like 8/10's, then ORAS feels like a 7/10 based on it's own merits.
Enjoyable? Yes
Worth the buy? I'm not so sure now.
