First took 90, second was ~400.
The early initial shiny gave me the false impression that Masuda Method was super-quick.
It can still take quite a while, and if you're breeding for a shiny I always suggest you breed using two 5/6 IVs ASAP.
You might as well get something high-end for all that effort.
That's what drove me to go for the second.
Remember, even with Masuda, you're looking at a 1/1365 chance.
If you optimize breeding, that's in the ballpark of 20 hours average per Masuda shiny.
