Dark type. I guess it would look kind of bulky like spotted hyenas do, with its back legs shorter than its front legs. It would definitely have an underbite or overbite and some thick teeth. Or even, give it a big grin to incorporate the laughing hyena lore.
I can imagine the colour scheme being reddish-browns and dark brown with spots.
Pokedex description would either be about how its laughs are bad omens or how its jaws can bite through steel.
