OK fags, so I'm doing a new kind of run that I just made up, but has probably been done by someone before. Same old Nuzlocke rules, but with one extra clause: I can't use any Pokémon with a BST over 450.
So, for example, this means that once Cubone evolves in a few levels, my team will be fully evolved. When I encounter something with a BST of over 450 (ex: the Snorlax), I ignore it, but if a Pokémon evolves into something over 450 but is eligible itself, I have to catch it and use it without evolving.
The run is fun because it adds a needed challenge to what is a pretty easy Nuzlocke in X&Y... but it is kind of disappointing to get a bunch of new and interesting shit like Pancham and Helioptile but not be able to fully use them (I got a female Combee that might as well be male in this run). Any suggestions to make some mons more usable? NFEs work for stuff like the starters, but for most two-stagers, there's basically no way to feasibly take them through the game. Should I ignore basic Pokémon if they're 2-stage, or under a certain other BST? It just all seems to defeat the purpose.
Still, though, I recommend the run to whoever is up for it. It keeps things pretty fresh.
