Ruka's Jynx plays off of that by being very self conscious and shy. Ruka actually helps her get out of her shell and be more confident, without her Jynx would probably hide behind her hair and attack from a distance. The whole appeal of being a Gyaru is being as unabashedly in your face and "yourself" as you can. Who cares if you think I'm ugly, I'm gonna live as flashily as I can.
