Maractus is literally perfect, but is outclassed by everything. There are better sweeper than Maractus. Better baton passers than Maractus. Her typing isn't terrible but still easy to exploit. She's perfect for Amie, plush toys, shiny hunting, and contests, but ... she is terrible at holding a team together.
My three absolute favorite Pokemon bar none, are Spinda, Vulpix, and Maractus. It hurts.
