I really wish we could get a new dex that size again. I know people scream "quality over quantity", but having a huge dex is super fun, especially with Unova limited the main game to only new Pokemon. It was a truly unique experience and I really wish they had the balls to sideline Kanto again for two fucking minutes. I really doubt Gen 8 will have more than 90 new Pokemon, and given what we've seen, that's being generous. It'll be 50-75 most likely.
Gen 8 had the potential for greatness, but greed and laziness took away the chance for a truly amazing experience. We could've had a game with so much more ambition, but what we got was a 3DS game with a $60 console pricetag (plus $20 for online, plus $60 for some exclusive Gigantashit forms, plus $60 for Mew, plus probably another $20 for Pokemon Home)
