When do you think the opinion on Pokémon games shifted? It could just be me, but I don't remember people hating Pokémon as much as they do now before the release of Sword and Shield, but I could be wrong about that. It just feels like what happened with those games ended up permanently ruining everyone's view on Pokémon (and retroactively as well, since most of the hate I've seen for earlier generations also started with the release of SwSh).
Not really defending any of what they've done lately with the games, but I'm a nerd when it comes to trends and wanted to ask about people's opinions.
