He's been used less than pidgeotto since Ash added Duskdoggo and Litten/Torracat to his team and more for a quick gag (he spent an entire episode as Ash's only pokémon, asleep in his bag). Hell, even his last bit of character development was centered around him being a lazy bastard and sleeping on Bulu, only to sleep on the tree Bulu was feeding off and overcharge-learn Razor Leaf (all Ash's others work on it or adapt one of their already known moves at a clutch moment). Face it dude, a CotD will show up with Dartrix and they'll continue to pump out Rowlet merch.
