>>51340478People hate the games because the story and NPC difficulty fucking sucks. Kalosbros remember the region, pokemon variety, and amazing online experience it had when it was current. People trying the games now have no reward of a community for mashing A through words they don't want to read, online battles only being legendary kids or baton pass teams, and a previous generation with less features than those released after it. Playing them now gives you a peek at "Kalos" but doesn't represent what "X/Y" were for a year.
