>>52288854This generation, funnily enough. I already felt I was "growing out" of Pokemon since Gen 6, but I think Gen 8 really hit me the hardest with it. I did buy PLA, which was fun but overall pretty mediocre, and Scarlet. Gen 9 did seem interesting, but after being disappointing with Gen 8 and PLA, my expectations were already low. Boy, was I in for a surprise.
