The rainy, dark town of Canalave City holds a secret.
Red has the perfect life working as a Pokémon center nurse in the city and Pokémon battle with his strong girlfriend, Cynthia .
However, when he finds a bulbous Master Ball in his cellar, he begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the family.
A victory against Byron leaves Red with some startling questions about his past, and he sets off to peaceful Canalave City to find some answers.
At first the people of Canalave City are brave and cunning. He is intruigued by the curiously dedicated breeder, Hilda . However, after she introduces him to hard Protein, Red slowly finds himself drawn into a web of Pokemon theft, smuggling Rare Candies and perhaps, even underground Pokémon battles.
Can Red resist the charms of Hilda and uncover the secret of the bulbous Master Ball before it's too late, or will his demise become yet another Canalave City legend?
