Thought I'd just beat Koga after getting home from work tonight, but the momentum kept up now I have all the badges. Primeape is Lv72 with 7 Rare Candies to burn before the E4, so he'll definitely be 80+ before the real trials start. Also I'll be going in with him solo, don't wanna cheapen this win by switching to a shitmon and slamming revives/potions. Also, I forgot how awesome the badge check gate was in RBY, really made you feel like you earned the right to compete in the League.
Dunno if it's post worthy, but I'll probably make a thread when I finish this so I don't have to worry about this thread still being alive or not and take my time to write shit out. It's been kinda cathartic playing through this game again, but I don't wanna get into all that yet. Anyways, thanks to the anon who suggested that I should give this another go.
