Unless I'm mistaken, the only person we know who's been negatively affected by Falling is Ingo, and there's no reason to assume that his condition is universal to everyone who becomes a Faller. Maybe he just landed on his head or something.
Amnesia is a dumb hook for a main character. A story where the main focus is "character finding out who they used to be" usually becomes the author adding increasingly contrived skills and backstory to their OC because they think the audience cares about how cool and awesome they are. Writing a Faller is basically just writing isekai, and adding amnesia to that doesn't inherently improve things. If anything, I'd rather read a story about a character working towards finding a way back home and eventually making it. Like Back to the Future.
