>>56291715>>56291675Stall wouldn't be such a popular and prevalent playstyle in every generation if random crits were enough to counter it. One crit does not suddenly undo the fact that you've gotten 20+ turns out of Slowbro regenerating and killed 3 of the opponent's Pokemon exclusively with Toxic damage.
I'm sure you think you're Gendo Ikari and the high commander of the battlefield behind your Blissey but stalling is an extremely easy playstyle to pick up and it's far harder to break through stall consistently than it is to pilot stall, since if you don't happen to have a Pokemon that can break through Toxapex churning out Haze, Scald and Recover, you can just instantly lose. This has been the case since the dawn of competitive, anyone over the age of 18 can tell you about Skarm Bliss. It's just bad players taking the shortest route to success almost every single time. Such is the same with running the clock with Sonic in Smash Bros or sitting on Pachy in Yu-Gi-Oh, playing aggressive has too many risks, play it safe, play it slow.
