>>43661993I agree, but I am not going to lie to you when I say that I've been going back and forth replaying gens 4/5 and 6/7 and I honestly couldn't truly grasp the difference. Don't know if it is because I'm a nutjob or maybe I haven't played enough times of any of them, but still. And yes, even if I found in gens 6 and 7 a number of flaws that I never could've seen in my first playthoughs, I got through those games no major problem. But holy cow, the Switch games are a kick to the balls to all of those. Gutted Pokemon along with the other features, doubling down on characters interrupting and instructing you non-stop, next to no attempts at difficulty, "high quality animations", shit being put behind paywalls, it's like they know "mostly game-starved console + Pokemon on the cover = MONEY" so fuck all the great things the DS games accomplished and what little effort went into the 3DS ones just dissapears. Spinoffs that were made soon-to-be 20 years ago have more accesible content, more features and overall look and play better than main games done with today's technology.
