I suppose it would depend on the partner, but overall, the threat of being kidnapped and ending up in someone else's Pokeball is terrifying. I'd probably let her capture me, but do the Pikachu thing and stay out of the ball as often as possible. Still, it's a bit weird. There is something undignified about allowing yourself to be captured- You're giving up your freedom, and granting someone power over you, or submitting yourself to a 'master'. That's the part I don't very much like, but again, it'd depend on the partner and how much happiness/feeling of security it would give her.
I like to think of myself as a leader or a protector, but when it comes down to it, I very much just want to make other people happy. It's a bit sad, but when I first thought of what Pokemon I'd want to be, the answer is, "Whatever would make her/(you) happiest." Maybe, to that end, a Zoroark would be more fitting? Idk.
Writing this out really makes me feel like a sucker. Sorry if this comes across as cheesy.
