If he's out hiking or camping, probably like campfire, slight sweat and skin musk. I don't picture him as a guy that wears cologne but I think he has pretty good hygiene and probably smells like a neutral clean/skin musk smell normally. A little bit of dog fur from Mabosstiff. His hair would smell like whatever shampoo he uses plus whatever he's been cooking! Maybe he also smells a little lemony from lemon kitchen soap if he's been in the kitchen.
I've bought a few perfume oils that I like to layer to see if I can make it smell like him. I have one that's a basic skin musk, one that's a bit like baking cookies, and one that's more herbal as a nod to Herba Mystica.
