competitive killed my love for pokemon, before battling agaisnt the stronges mons was sort of like a boss battle, but in competitive everyone is forced to use the meta so your kind of forced into what you can use. Gen 3 meta tho had tons of bromons, but starting with gen 5 you get start getting these weird creatures that seem more like something youd catch and box rather than use extensivly. I dont know why i keep playing it just seems to suck the soul out of it.
