If you absolutely cannot help yourself from responding to off topic threads and bait, put "sage" without quotes in the options field. This will make sure your post does not bump the thread and thus, will let you get in your 2 cents without extending the shitty thread's lifespan! This simple feature can help immensely with the quality of the board as a whole!
If you need further incentive, then think about this: if you don't bump the thread, that means your opponent may not have time to respond to your post, ensuring you get the final word and make them seethe! You can shitpost AND contribute to board quality, all in one!
