Years ago back when I was a retarded kid, I found a shiny Tentacruel on my Gold version. Little to my knowledge I didn't actually know it was a "shiny" or important. I must have missed the "shiny" animation at the beginning of the battle, so when I looked at the Gameboy I saw a blue Tentacruel and was slightly confused. I thought there was some issue with the colour or something, so I ran from the battle, saved and reset the game. Moments later I realised what I had done.
Years passed with feelings of regret.
