It's like the Pacha Edits threads we had when that was still a thing - sure, for most of them they just took the template and colored over it, but it takes more effort and generates more interesting content than posting the same images of Lopunny in a bikini over and over.
What rules did the threads break, anyway? /mlp/ and /qst/ are the only two boards that mention "roleplay", and if they stick mainly to text (or at least don't post the same picture with each post like every other cancerous forum does), they're clear of Global Rule 13.
Or is there some secret rule that says "having fun related to Pokemon is not allowed if it results in OC that isn't images or fapbait"?
