Massive agreement about the showcases though, the thing I despise the most about XY is making Serena another fricking contest girl, even adding contests to a region where they don't exist in the game, so they don't even have the shilling excuse. Serena should've decided to start the Gym challenge alongside Ash. Then they'd actually have something in common they could talk about and be passionate over. Biggest waste of potentional for her character, and I say that as a Serenafag
