>>13238653>>13238722Bibbuls always overworks his paintings. He makes tons and tons of quick strokes which all bleed together into muddied colours. He doesn't make his shades or highlights in just a few firm confident strokes, like Raggedy for instance here does. It means his colouring lacks any saturation and everything looks flat. It doesn't help he uses a lineart less style which is demands accurate and firm shading, and Bibs' stuff blends together too easily. Everything being soft also means he has no defining textures. Look at Mollux's shell here for instance, it looks indistinct because everything bled together and he there's no division between colour. it looks like it's out of focus and not in a proper way like something in the background.
until Bibbuls learns any sort of basic painting technique he'll just be nice concepts with crap application.
