I mean you have the day and night cycle, weather, seasons, sp/phy split, reusable TMs, and amazing post game.
Gamefreak just seems to have run out of ideas with what to do with the Pokémon franchise after bw2, since they just keep on adding gimmicks to try and spark interest(megas, z moves, armor forms). The only thing of note that they've done so far is add the fairy type, and that was 6 fucking years ago. So b/w2 don't feel obsolete and will probably never be obsolete if this is the direction Gamefreak is gonna keep on going in.
