>>38399649>What would they eat?The Gardevoir line is psychic and the problem with psychic pokemon is many of them don't actually 'eat' normal food, but instead subsist off of or consume some sort of psychic or mental energy. This sort of ecological niche is reflected in their physiology since most psychic pokemon are fetal or malformed in appearence.
In the case of the Gardevoir line it sounds like their digestive system is most likely vestigial: they either don't eat or eat VERY little, as they subsist entirely off of the emotional energy given off by intelligent beings such as Humans and more developed Pokemon. The 'dex says they use their red horns to sense the emotions of other beings and then become stronger and more developed by establishing empathetic bonds: they eat your feelings, feel them, and in turn gain nourishment.
When they're young it reads they're very hesitant to expose themselves to Humans, but they live in urban areas, so their relationship or method of acquiring 'food' is most likely parasitic: squating or hovering by people in secret to eat their good feelings. The more mature Gardevoir and Gallade, though, looks like it forms a symbiotic relationship with one individual and then proceeds to see to their needs and protect them so they can just feed off of them perpetually.
