As someone who was lucky enough to watch the Japanese episodes of DP while they were airing, Ash vs Cynthia is something nobody ever thought we'd see in a million years. It's honestly more exciting to me than the Kalos League simply because they are basically required to deliver a top caliber battle no matter what. With the large amount of build-up Cynthia has gotten, they can't write her off in a single episode like they did the other Champions. There's no way they can screw it up.
