The the only Pokemon game with good sprite animation is Crystal gen V ones would be fine if they were static, but the ugly as fuck tweening animation ruins them. Static sprites don't look bad though, I prefer them to the lifeless 3D models. Scorbunny, Spinda, and Porygon line are literally the only good models in battle. The Pokemon Amie animations are pretty good though. I wish the idle animations were as good as those.
