Trip's an annoying dickhead, but I can't say that I hate him so far. He wins his battles with strategy, even if it's basic stuff like "use a set up move and your abilities." Maybe it's because I'm coming off of SM and Ash being his worst version, but I expected him to lose completely to the Tranquill. Ash did show an impressive aptitude of remembering Snivy's move that knocked out most of his team, at least. You'd think the Top 4 finisher from the Sinnoh League might set higher expectations, but he is just a kid in BW.
