Personally, today I'm making Pumpkin as tis the season and all, however if you want to be an ultra coolio fellow who uses all ingrediants as stated above, then Pineapple Cobbler!
Crust:
1: Cut 1 1/4 cups of shortening and 3 cups of flour into pea sized balls.
2: Beat 1 egg and 2 teaspoons of white vinegar in a seperate bowl, then throw into your flour mix bowl.
3: Then mix 5 teaspoons of Ice Water into your flour mix and mix well.
4: Roll out your dough with a rolling pin.
5: Fold the dough out into fourths and then put over a pie pan or a square pan. (Don't overwork the dough or you'll have a tough dough)
Filling:
1:With Pumpkin Pie, mix the following: Pumpkin Puree, Ground Cloves, Nutmeg, Ginger and Cinnamon, 1/2 cup of Milk and 5 eggs.
2. Place into your dough pan.
3: Sprinkle a bit of your spice mix on top for aesthetic if you wish.
4: Bake in oven at 350 for about an hour, or until crust is flaky.
For Pineapple Cobbler:
1. Remember those chunks/slices you had before? Well, just add a 1/2 cup of brown sugar to them with a tablespoon of vanilla extract and a cup of milk.
2: Leaving a bottom layer of dough for the cobbler to rest on, mix your pineapple mix with the excess dough, really rip and tear at it. Spices that would work well in this would be Anise, Ginger and Cinnamon, but that is just personal preference.
3: Place in oven and cook at 400 for 20 minutes.
4: Let cool for 20 minutes, and serve cold/room temperature with a side of whipped cream, or if you are feeling borgeious, drizzle some of your Garlic Butter Glaze on top for an Ultra Savory to your Sweet.
There you go /ef/!
A three course dish to entertain your guests that compliments each other in ingrediants, flavor, and use.
