I've been playing this recently released mmo for a few days. Having played these devs previous game (Pokémon Revolution Online) I expected nothing but the same crap with improved graphics. But only a few hours into the game were enough to change my mind. My main complain about PRO besides the poor server status was the ridiculous difficulty to get anything good, you could get some of the rarest WOW items easier than getting a decent boss drop in PRO and literally every Pokémon besides the first 151 and regional rodent/birds was extremely rare and would take hours to appear. This is changed in PokéOne, along with many other qol improvements that make it really enjoyable.
There are currently two regions (Kanto and Johto) and they're working on Unova. It's on pre-beta stage and server isn't perfect and might lag or crash. But not all the time, while I write this there are 3k players online and no lag. If you want to try it out, you have to download the client from their discord server
