That we know they're comfortable rehashing the same game endlessly points more to having the lion's share of L: A mechanics to return and the style of game to stay similar to the previous entry (again, they didn't associate it with Arceus for shits'n'giggles). That they seemingly teased a potential starter trio that doesn't adhere to any fan assumption is another - this fandom and /vp/ is horribly uncreative (starter leaks for Gen 8 copying how the anime reference sheets for Gen 7 appeared, because people knew that was how GF presented the starters in Gen 7, every text leak between IoA and Khu's prominence copied Affleck and now we have retarded "broken" english leaks because a chink's been telling all up to last year) so it's little wonder they can only assume the next starters are ones from regions they hate and will get regionals, despite GF teasing Mega Evolution's return, (thus prominence in the game story in some fashion) and if they're lazy like the world assumes, making two megas is lazier than making three or three regionals AND three megas for them.
