>>27442227>>27442243So after running a few sims with these new rules rather than just doing a single battle and jumping to conclusions as in
>>27442227- this battle is actually quite close.
Hawlucha consistently loses to Spritomb even with Spiritomb's dumbass AI that always uses Embargo first. M-Garde then switches in and can take out a good portion of Cynthia's team. But IF Cynthia switches in Milotic AND uses Mirror Coat (which the AI could conceivably do based on footage of her champ battles), she will cut this rampage short.
For reference, here's a battle where Milotic immediately switches in and uses Mirror Coat:

http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/battle-ou-408562489While the battle does pivot on this one AI decision (Cynthia will win outright consistently if she takes out M-Garde with Milotic), Cynthia also has a significant chance of pulling it back if the RNG goes in her favour. A lucky crit or miss can completely turn things around. I'd even go so far as to say that Diantha has a bit of an uphill struggle to win even if she sweeps most of Cynthia's team (Spiritomb/Gastrodon/Milotic and possibly Roserade) with her M-Garde because all of her other 'mons, particularly Auroros, match up so terribly against what's left of Cynthia's team.
The winner, is Cynthia.
